The
St. Louise de Marillac Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body to
our Pastor, which helps with the coordination and unification of our faith
community. The Council gives our parishioners an active voice in
supporting, guiding and directing the various aspects of our Parish
life. The Council, which meets approximately 6 times per year,
identifies certain goals for the Parish, and then establishes and
implements various objectives to help achieve those goals.
The Council is composed of our Pastor, appointed staff
members, representatives from each established Parish commission and
organization, and several "at large" members. Each year,
at least 2 of these "at large" positions must be re-filled with
parishioners. The term of these positions is for 3 years (with a
possible second consecutive 3 year term permitted). If you think
that you might be interested in helping to guide the future of our Parish,
please submit your name as a possible candidate for one of these "at
large" positions. All members must be registered parishioners and at least
18 years old. The recruitment process for these positions begins in
the spring of each year, with the final selection being made in a random
draw at the last council meeting of the year in May. The term then
begins with the fall meeting.
Important decisions are being made about the future
direction of our Parish. Please consider taking an active leadership
role in our vibrant and life-giving Parish community.
