Do This In Memory Of Me The Lord gathered His friends on Holy Thursday for the last time. At that meal, He blessed the bread and shared it with His friends. He did the same with the cup. Every time we gather around the table at St. Louise, the priest prepares the meal that all of us will share. It takes many volunteers to distribute both the bread and the wine to the family gathered together. We know them as Eucharistic Ministers. Men and women, young and old, single or married; everyone who has been baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith can become a member of this beautiful ministry. Eucharistic ministers are scheduled for all our weekend liturgies. Those who help out with daily mass and on holy days of obligation do so on a volunteer basis. Several ministers assist Father at funerals and a group of special ministers take communion to the sick and homebound. The Lord calls each of us to be "His Hands" here on earth - - think about it. Know that you are serving Him when you serve your brothers and sisters in this unique and rewarding ministry. Training classes are scheduled annually but can be arranged more often. Contact the Parish Office at 586-751-3340 for more information and Dolores or John Skorna will return your call.
