Shortly after the inception of the parish in the mid-1960's, the St. Louise Ushers' Club was formed by a group of dedicated male parishioners to serve the Sunday celebrant by providing direction, comfort, order, and assistance to the attending congregation before, during, and after the scheduled Masses.

Even today, the ushers perform many of the same duties while expanding into other parish social activities like co-sponsoring the annual New Year's Eve Party with the Christian Women's Group.

We are proud of our history and would like to continue our successes by inviting new members to join. Time has a way of "taking" our older members (retirement, relocation, aging, etc.) The only requirements for membership are that you must be a male member of the parish and at least 18 years old.

The basic duties of the Ushers at Mass are to meet people and provide assistance in seating them when the occasion arises; to gather contributions during any authorized collection (both regular and special); to assist parishioners with presenting the Gifts at Offertory; and, in general, to be available to make people feel comfortable and safe.

Members have a choice to regularly serve at any of the four scheduled weekend Masses (and could be asked to help out if there might be an immediate need or shortage of ushers at the Mass that they might be attending). Regular attendance is expected, however, flexibility and absence are permitted (we do understand about special occasions, vacations, illness, etc.)

The present weekend Mass schedule is: Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and Noon.

Thank you!
