Women of Saint Louise de Marillac-Come to Saint Mary's
In our July 18th gospel, we heard of Mary sitting at Our Lords feet, listening to him while Martha is busy cooking, cleaning, and making all her guests comfortable. Martha is angry at Mary, but Our Lord tells Martha that Mary has made the better choice. So are you like Martha- always busy working? Or are you like Mary-who took time to visit with her special guest? Jesus is inviting you to sit down with him and receive his abundant love. He wants to give you the energy for all the work that he has called you to do. Why not plan a weekend away from everything and just be present to the Lord? There is no better place than Saint Mary's Retreat House to pray, to reflect, to listen, to sing, and to praise God.
Our retreat is scheduled the weekend of September 24-26th. Father Alex Kratz has chosen "The Promise of Heaven" as his theme for the weekend. He has scheduled several conferences, a communal confession, and special liturgies just for us. There is also plenty of time for private prayer, to take a walk around their beautiful grounds, to say the outdoor stations of the cross, to listen to holy music, to visit with new friends, or even have a private conference with Father Alex.
A $40 deposit will hold a room for you with the balance of $110 due the Friday you arrive at the Retreat House. The bedrooms are a little small-but very comfortable. The food is wonderful. The weekend is priceless.
